About the founder
Educated India was founded by Afreen
Bano, a dedicated educator, mentor, and entrepreneur from Kharagpur, West Bengal, India. As a proud Muslim woman and passionate teacher, Afreen has devoted her life to making quality education accessible and affordable for students, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds.
Afreen’s journey in education began in 2013, after completing her 10th standard, when she started teaching children in her local community. Even at a young age, she recognized the importance of guiding students with patience, care, and clarity. Her passion for teaching steadily grew alongside her academic pursuits.
In 2015, she completed her 12th grade from Kharagpur South Side High School (H.S). To strengthen her technical skills, she earned a Diploma in Information Technology Application in 2017 from the Youth Computer Training Center. Despite facing challenges, Afreen remained determined and continued her higher education, successfully completing a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in 2018 from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
Her thirst for knowledge did not stop there. To gain deeper insights into management, communication, and leadership, Afreen pursued and completed an MBA in Marketing from Uttaranchal University. This academic achievement further enhanced her ability to combine education with strategic thinking and entrepreneurship.
Teaching Journey and Impact
Drawing from her academic background and real-life experiences, Afreen took a significant step in 2020 by establishing offline coaching classes. Today, she teaches more than 100 students, offering guidance across multiple subjects with a focus on concept clarity and exam preparation. Her dedication has produced remarkable results—many of her students consistently achieve top ranks in West Bengal School examinations, reflecting the effectiveness of her teaching methods.
Motivated by her desire to reach a broader audience, Afreen expanded her educational mission through the Educated India blog and YouTube videos. These platforms allow her to share valuable learning materials, exam-oriented content, motivational guidance, and career-related insights with students across West Bengal and beyond.
