Long Summary
“Alias Jimmy Valentine” is the story of a professional safe-cracker named Jimmy Valentine. After being released from prison, Jimmy immediately returns to his old criminal life. He collects his special burglary tools and travels from town to town, robbing banks under different false names.
While visiting the town of Elmore, Jimmy sees Annabel Adams, a beautiful and kind young woman. He falls deeply in love with her at first sight. This love completely changes his heart. Jimmy decides to give up his life of crime and start a new, honest life.
The turning point of the story comes when Annabel’s little niece is accidentally locked inside the newly installed bank vault. The vault is extremely strong and cannot be opened by anyone. The child’s life is in danger.
To save the child, Jimmy brings out his old burglary tools and opens the vault, even though it means revealing his true identity. Ben Price, a detective who has been chasing Jimmy for years, witnesses the whole incident.

जिमी एनेट के पिता के बैंक में काम करने लगता है और शहर में एक सम्मानित नागरिक बन जाता है। शीघ्र ही जिमी और एनेट की सगाई हो जाती है।
लेकिन कहानी में मोड़ तब आता है जब एक दिन बैंक की नई तिजोरी के अंदर एनेट की छोटी भांजी गलती से बंद हो जाती है। तिजोरी इतनी मजबूत होती है कि कोई उसे खोल नहीं पाता। बच्ची के जीवन पर खतरा मंडराने लगता है।
अपने प्रेम और मानवता के कारण जिमी अपने अतीत को भूलकर वही पुराने चोरी के औज़ार इस्तेमाल करता है और तिजोरी खोल देता है। यह सब एक जासूस बेन प्राइस देख रहा होता है, जो वर्षों से जिमी को पकड़ने की कोशिश कर रहा था।
परंतु जिमी के त्याग और सच्चे परिवर्तन को देखकर बेन प्राइस उसे गिरफ्तार नहीं करता और यह कहकर चला जाता है कि वह गलत आदमी के पीछे आ गया है।
